Bezel Rings...

So excited to work on my new collection! These bezel walls are for a 4 stone pendant.  It's so nice to be in the studio and doing research at NYC museums.  Getting obsessed in a good way...

GAH-mazing.

Loving this take on a lookbook from Alexis Bittar, very surrealist.
The images are as interesting as the jewelry itself.

Kings of the East

My four Brooklyn besties and I have decided to start a collective, mostly to have a great excuse to keep each other working and creative.
We have set it up so every few months we have a new theme and each of us creates towards that theme in our own interpretation.
Above my Moonlight Sonata Necklace for our Grey Scale theme.
Check all our work out here.

Meet Ferdinand.

Pretty handsome, ey ladies?
I'm thinking maybe this might be a series of one offs.
I like how the line work starts to look like a wood cut print.

Cobra Bracelet.

Hey. This is my new favorite, the bracelet is woven with fine silver handmade rings and oxidized to look as though its been dug up from the bowels of ancient times.

Fit for a modern urbanite princess.

Chains a many (sike, just one).

Dearest friends, my sincerest apologies for not writing here as often as I'd like.
I have been couped up in my studio the past few days teaching myself the ancient art of chain weaving.

My hero!!!!

So one day I went to Phillip Crangi's new store in the meatpacking district after work and had the pleasure of meeting the man himself (where else but nyc dudes....). I have been following Crangi's work since he was nominated for a CFDA award a few years ago(p.s. he won one).
So, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite pieces from his Giles & Brother line.
Enjoy mon amies.
I really like his use of color and unusual mixing of materials.
